Demodex mites are parasites that live in hair follicles. Studies show the Demodex hair mites to be associated with numerous types of skin complications, for example the mites have been identified as a leading contributor to acne, rosacea, red nose, pimples, blepharitis, seborrheic dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, eczema, pruritus, itchy skin, hair loss, androgenic alopecia, baldness, aging skin, rough skin, wide pores, freckles, spots, fine wrinkles, dermatosis, rash, discoloration on the face and other skin conditions.

While follicle mites may cause certain problems, it also is possible specific skin conditions become a breeding ground for Demodex mites. Besides, it's a major problem for dogs too known as Demodex canis, more commonly known as mange. Hormonal fluctuations contribute to mite reproduction because these invertebrate insects obtain their steroids from the host. This contributes to high levels of Demodex mite population in the skin and hair. Want to know more about Demodex mites and their role in rosacea as well as the best Demodex treatment? All That You Never Wanted To Know About Your Skin Mites

What are Demodex mites and why do they live in my skin and hair follicles?

Demodex mites are parasites that live in hair follicles. The Demodex family of mites contain 65 different species. Of the 65 species, two species live on human skin Demodex Brevis and Demodex Folliculorum.

Demodex mites are microscopic, and they live in the hair follicles on your body, face and scalp. These mites have a lifespan of 2 weeks. A Demodex mite takes half a day to lay her eggs and she will lay them deep inside your hair follicles and two and a half days later the eggs will hatch. Six days after hatching the mites reach adulthood, then they have another five days of life. During this time they eat nutrients and oil from your skin before dying and liquefying in your pores. Mites will typically avoid light, so they only come out at night.

Demodex mites only tend to become a problem for you when they are found in high-density. A number of skin and hair problems have been associated with a high-density population. These nasty mites have been identified as a leading contributor to acne, rosacea, red nose, pimples, blepharitis, seborrheic dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, eczema, pruritus, itchy skin, hair loss, androgenic alopecia, baldness, aging skin, rough skin, wide pores, freckles, spots, fine wrinkles, dermatosis, rash, discoloration on the face and other skin conditions.

With the right treatment, you can get rid of these mites, and live a healthier life.

The Mechanics of Demodex Mites and Humans

Are Demodex mites curable on humans?

If you have them are you stuck with them forever? These are questions that probably run through your mind if you’ve ever experienced Demodex mites or if you are curious about them.

The question that brings fear to most when it comes to Demodex mites, “are Demodex curable on humans?!”. The short answer would be yes but you might wonder how can they be curable. Right?

First things first let address a few things shall we, what are these Demodex mites that we speak of? Well Demodex mites are microscopic parasites that live under hair follicles and in oil glands. They are linked to many issues such as Demodex mites’ rosacea and Demodex #acne.

Recent studies have found that most people have mites present on them, however, they tend to become a problem when a high population density is found.

They are a natural part of the human microbiome – which is the ecological community of microorganisms that live on and within the body. There are two species that can be found on humans, those are Demodex Follicluorum and Demodex #Brevis. The difference between the two mites is that Demodex Follicluorum lives in hair follicles primarily in the face and meibomian glands in of the eyelids. Whereas Demodex Brevis live in the sebaceous glands of the skin.

Even though Demodex Follicluorum are found on the skin of all humans, they appear in greater numbers in those that have rosacea. These Demodex mites are a true connection to rosacea, due to the fact that they are linked to a distinct Bactria called bacillus oleronius. In a study funded by Dr.Kevin Kavanagh and his colleagues found B. oleronius stimulated an inflammatory response in 79% of study patients, with subtype 2 (papulopustular) rosacea. The study showed that the effective treatment includes antibiotics that destroy the Bactria.

But could this be the only effective treatment for rosacea? Perhaps not there are other ways to treat rosacea and it’s certainly isn’t only with antibiotics.

Maybe you’ve been searching high and low to cure yourself of Demodex mites and get rid of them. Well, where there is a will there is a way and that how Ungex comes into the picture.

Ungex is your solution to banishing these evil little critters. Only with the right product and protocol can Demodex be eliminated and we have spent many years perfecting this care plan.

Talk to us directly for your free consultation, to see if we can help you reclaim your skin today.
