All You Never Wanted To Know About The Parasites Known As Follicle Mites!

Demodex mites are parasites that live in hair follicles. Studies show the Demodex hair mites to be associated with numerous types of skin complications, for example the mites have been identified as a leading contributor to hair loss, aging skin, rough skin, wide pores, red nose, pimples, acne, rosacea, freckles, spots, fine wrinkles, atopic dermatitis, itching, dermatosis, rash, discoloration on the face and other skin conditions.

While follicle mites may cause certain problems, it also is possible specific skin conditions become a breeding ground for Demodex mites. Besides, it's a major problem for dogs too known as Demodex canis. If you have high levels of hormones, you're going to have high levels of Demodex mite reproduction because these invertebrate insects obtain their steroids from the host.

Mites Have Been Identified As A Leading Contributor to Hair Loss and Other Skin Conditions.

Recent research suggests that most people may have Demodex mites, usually A-symptomatic in healthy people, but when there’s a high density of mites residing within the human host - usually due to stress or illness (autoimmune deficiencies/ diseases) the human suffers negative effects with skin problems and hair loss. Unfortunately this is widely unknown to the public.

UNGEX is a company that have received several business certificates and awards, including the 2012 "Best Invention Award" for the invention of ‘Ungex Hair Mites Solution’ to provide a natural/ herbal-based care plan for this. MORE ABOUT MITES

What are Demodex mites?

Demodex mites are microscopic parasites that feed off the oils, hormones, and fluids that are present around human hair follicles

Where can Demodex mites be found?

Mites can be found in the hair follicles and sebaceous glands on humans. They become most active at night, in the dark.

What do Demodex mites look like?

They are invisible to the eye unless aided by a microscope. The adult Demodex mite is around 0.3 mm in length. They have semi-transparent elongated bodies with 8 short segmented legs. At night they can walk on the skin at a speed of 8 to 16 cm an hour.

Are Demodex mites the same as head lice?
No, mites are different to head lice. Mites are parasites that live inside hair follicles and feed off of the oils they produce. Lice are larger, and can be seen by the naked eye. They live on top of the human scalp, and feed exclusively on blood.

How to know if I have Demodex mites?

Mites are very common in humans of all ages. Those affected usually have tell-tale symptoms such as: loss of hair and hair thinning, aging skin, enlarged pores, facial redness and discoloration, acne and itching.

ABOUT SYMPTOMS

I lose hair in the shower when I brush, is this normal?

It can be normal if it’s just a limited number, however hair is weaker when wet, so brushing wet hair can cause breakage and cause your hair to weaken, which could contribute to hair loss.

Can dandruff be a sign of mites?

Are mites causing my rosacea?

My eyes are always inflamed and sticky around the lashes. Could this mean I have mites in my eyelashes?

Is there a way that a child can have a mite infestation if they have a weakened immune system?

Demodex mites living in the hair follicles leave waste and their decomposing bodies behind. This can cause a build-up of bacteria and germs and then lead to dandruff. Mites will come out of the hair follicles only to walk and mate on top of the scalp, this causes itching when their tiny claws scuff the surface of the scalp, and excessive scratching can contribute to dandruff as well.

It’s possible. Mites can be linked to rosacea in some people. People affected with mite-related rosacea will often have weakened immune systems either from autoimmune deficiencies or something in their lifestyle which could be causing the mites to overpopulate in the skin.

Yes it’s possible, as a mite infestation in the eyelash follicles can lead to blepharitis. Blepharitis is a condition that causes inflammation of the eyelids, eye discharge, a dry gritty sensation in the eyes and general itching/discomfort. If you are experiencing more than two of these symptoms it is very possible to have an eyelash mite infestation.

Yes, although children usually do not get Demodex mite infestations, there have been cases recorded of children with mites and infections caused by mites. In recorded cases of children with mites, they have also had diseases or conditions affecting the immune system.

Why The Scalp Is Like A Garden!

Ungex Offers The Best Demodex Treatment To Help Eliminate Human Demodex Mites For Hair and Skin Problems.

Must Know More About Demodex Mites and Why The Scalp Is Like A Garden!

Why Scalp is Like A Garden on Humans
Demodex, Scalp and Garden

Having an infested scalp can be explained by likening it to a garden, and I will explain why below:

Say that you have a garden that is overrun by pests. There are insects on your plants roots and in the soil, consuming all the nutrients, fertiliser and water you are feeding your plants, trying to make them healthy again.

Instead of these products getting into the soil, and your plants roots transferring the nutrients to where they need to go, the pests in the soil are getting to them first and consuming them. Your plans start to die.

So your hair and skin are like plants. They need to live in a pest free environment to flourish.

It’s Highly Important To Seek Demodex Mites Treatment Prior To Any Other Treatment For Skin Issues. Hair Mites Cause Problems When They Soar Out Of Control!

But it is not a question of ‘Do I have mites?’ but rather ‘Do I have a high population density?’. If you are experiencing and of the below symptoms, the answer is likely YES!

Hair Loss, Aging Skin, Rough Skin, Wide Pores, Red Nose, Pimples, Acne, Rosacea, Facial discolouration, Freckles & Spots, Fine Wrinkles, Atopic Dermatitis, Itching, Dermatosis, Rash…. And more.

Luckily UNGEX can help! UNGEX currently have 4 products & 2 product bundles targeted at eliminating mites and therefore reducing hair loss and skin problems! Yay!

The main difference between the shampoos is that IS is used for light oil control and PS is used for heavier oil control on the scalp, face and body. Both can help in reducing the density of Demodex hair and face mites and used nightly can aid in prevention.
Only wash with shampoos at night. This optimises the elimination of mites.
The two shampoos can be used on alternating nights.
Shampoos can also be used on the face and body, especially PS for oily skin.

Wash with warm water when using shampoos, then rinse head and body with cool water.
THT helps to control the density of Demodex mites on the surface of the scalp as well as helping to promote hair growth. Not only does the use of THT help to prevent Demodex mites on the scalp, but using THT nightly after washing can also aid in prevention.
Spray tonic evenly over scalp, you may have to part hair to achieve maximum coverage.
When covered, massage scalp thoroughly with finger tips.
PDT’s unique formula helps target Demodex mites, working to help eliminate all types of mites, including Demodex hair, face and body mites. Using PDT in your daily/nightly routine not only helps to eliminate mites, but also prevents the spread of Demodex mites within the home or salon. If used incorrectly you may not get the desired results.
Note: To avoid cross contamination please do not share personal care items with anyone.

Spray all personal care items such as towels, bedding, pillows, hairbrushes etc. after washing and before use.
The HFI is not mandatory, though UNGEX highly recommends purchase of this device to help speed up the elimination process.
·         •  Clean and sterilise the HFI with PDT before use.
·         •  Switch on and apply the small ball tipped attachment (comb attachment can be used for those with extreme hair loss).
·         •  Brush HFI in a massaging motion over a clean dry scalp, concentrating on areas with hair loss or thinning.
·         •  Adjust the intensity of the frequency to your personal preferences.
·         •  Avoid using a stabbing motion to begin massage and avoid leaving HFI in one specific area of the scalp for more than 10 seconds.
·         •  Adjust the intensity to 0 before you turn off the HFI and remove attachment.
·         •  Sterilise with PDT after use.
